We are in talks about a possibility of forming H&S performance. This will be performance big bore/cam kits for second generation Vulcan 1500/1600 platform. We will supply a custom kit containing custom premium forged pistons, pin, rings. Custom reground cams. The cams will not be welded up lobes as some mfg do, these will be reduced base circle grinds. I will grind from 1600 cores because of the availability of these. I know this platform has been out of production since 2008 but there are thousands still on the roads. This will be top of the line packages that can be tailored to each customers wants and needs. Cyl service will also be available along with head work. We hope to be in full swing by fall 2017.

You just may be the only source for performance parts for these bikes as thunder manufacturing has closed so this is good news. Looking forward to these kits

A little update. Really no update lol. I have been running cam profiles to see what we will do cam wise. This is a pain staking task, putting in countless hours getting it right. These things aren't easy to do. I had in the past run the profile off of the cam lobe itself , this works just fine and would be the way to run it if it wasn't for the fact we have a conical surface on the rocker that mates to the cam lobe. This changes everything. So a well known cam guy wants numbers from the spring retainer/ valve. This is a big problem because you have to have the dial indicator at the exact angle of the valve. this is very difficult to do and if its not, the dial tip will move one way or the other on the retainer giving false readings. I am close but hours upon hours is taking its toll on my enthusiasm . Need to get this task done so I can move onto build this scoot. there is not one bolt been put back as of today lol. everything is still to be done.

Damn. Here I was thinking maybe plugging cam numbers into a dyno program I have on the pc could come up with something.... Oh how wrong I evidently was.
I might do it anyways though just to see what comes out.

Progress on new build. Rods, pistons, machine work to be done all confirmed. Rods purchased, they are scat 7" 4340 forged h beam. Custom pistons as well purchased 4.125 premium forgings. This will be a tq monster I hope. Cams in this one is still up in the air as well as cams for all builds in the future. Have not been able to confirm a grind or vendor I feel is up to the task, but the tried and tested 1500 meanie cams can do a fine job. 105 ci will be the flavor. Hope this will be done for Maggie in July but we are not even remotely close. Not one nut or bolt has been but on scoot. A lot of my time in the past two months has been on getting the correct vendors in line to supply my custom parts. This will be unlike any that has been done before. Stay tuned😆
