Hi Everybody. I am Bluestreak. I live in central Virginia. I am not married but tried it once and we had one son and he has given me two grandchildren. A boy and a girl. They are great kids. The best sound I have ever heard is for one of them to call me Poppy. Grandkids are the best part of life. I became a motorcyclist at the age of 20. I rode for 9 years and quit riding for 27 years and started riding again 4 years ago. My first bike was a Honda 350, Next was a Yamaha 250 Enduro, Next was a Z1 900 Kawasaki. ( that was a very quick bike ) and now I have a 2004 Kawasaki Mean Streak and a 2008 Kawasaki Nomad. I am now retired after 43 years of working. I now have the time to enjoy riding my bikes and I don't like winter because at this time in life I am a warm weather rider.LOL. I always wanted to take a motorcycle trip around the country after I retired . I have decided to shorten that quite a bit so In May a friend and I are going to Denver and we will meet my friend Hagger who I haven't met yet but hopefully we can do a day ride with him and then we are going through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakoda. REALLY looking forward to that trip.

I am GolfKahn, or simply Kahn. From the ages of 16 to my early 20's, I was always on 2 wheels weather permitting. My first bike was a Kawasaki 350 triple that screamed like a Banshee. Then I got a Honda 750-4, wonderful smooth ride. Got clipped from behind by a VW one night. When I woke up from the 2-day coma, I was made to promise I would never ride again. Well last year I unloaded the PromiseDemander and this year I got the prettiest little redhead you ever saw, 2008 Meanie with 7K on the clock.
To say that I am overjoyed to be back is an understatement. When I retired the Meanie for 2016 last week, I had over 11K on the clock, so I put on over 4K from August to Dec. Not much makes me happier than cruising on 'Saki "out there".
My goals for next year are to move to South Carolina, attend Bike Week here in NH (Laconia in June) and Sturgis in Aug. Would also love to take a wander out around the country and meet up and ride with a few of you guys and gals. Life is too short not to be leaning into the corners.

I'm Lee, just started riding regularly in 2011 when I picked up an '02 Mean Streak after 30 or so years of not riding. Got it with about 18K on it and it was the daily commuter (plus pleasure riding) for the first couple of years, then the commuting tapered off. It has about 84K on it now.

I'm Sikotic, or Jerry if you're feeling formal. I didn't start riding till about 6 years ago in fear that my reckless behavior I had at the wheel of a car would carry over to being on a bike. They hurt far more when you make a mistake. I have only had 2 bikes thus far. I started with an '81 Honda CB650C and earlier this year graduated to an '04 Marauder.
Currently I'm in the exceptionally small town of Lynn, IN. And I'm always interested in finding new places to ride.. And occasionally meet a few new people. When I'm not turning a wrench that is.

Hey everybody! I'm Tom and I live in SW Virginia. Been married 31 years, have a son and a daughter in their 20's. Currently have 3 motorcycles - a 1200 Suzuki Bandit, a DR-Z400, and the Mean Streak. My first bike was a Yamaha 175, and then bought a 1975 Yamaha 650 with my paper route money. Seven years later I tried to use it and my head to remodel a ditch (it did not go well) and dropped out of riding due to family pressure (it was ether that or a permanent room at the state nervous hospital). Never lost the desire to ride and I started back in the late 90's on a used Honda CB650SC Nighthawk and have been riding ever since. I haven't done much in the way of meanie mod's, but I sure enjoy reading about and looking at pictures of mod's that others have done. If I had their talent and tools I'd probably have a room under the jail. Good to be here and look forward to lots of good times! Cheers! Tom

Tapatalk works, so that's a start. I couldn't get it to let me edit my profile and put a pic of my scoot. Oh ... yeah, ..... Hey finally made it over here (ahem to the Admin) ... many of you will know me and my smarty a$$ comments from other forums. Anyway, as soon as I can figure out how to post photos (which will be most likely never) I will post some pics of my bike. However, take my word for it, ...... it's killer. Some call me assho .... aaaa I mean TTE, and some Phil. Whatever you want to call me, I'm here. I think I know about bikes, but I don't. I am not a mechanic, so if I give you mechanical advise, God help you. I'm more of a nuts and bolts guy (as in I know which way to turn them to achieve the desired result). I really just want to check the oil and gas, air in the tires and get in the wind. If anyone is passing through So East Florida send me a PM for my cell #, I have tools, a jack and beer if you breakdown close to me (and a bedroom if it's a serious breakdown ... my other1/2 is a great gal, so at least you'll have someone intelligent to talk to). I'll check in here most days, hope everyone else does as well. Cheers

When it comes to handling, corners and such, how do they compare?

Phil hasn't rode it much. He bought it then it went to the shop for upgrades lol and if it's not 85 sunny, it's too cold lol.

True, it is getting ready for the final few things (only cleaning air filters, change transfer case and engine oil, brake and clutch fluid new battery, grips, mirrors and I'm done.) and should be totally ready to go on Monday. And your 85 quote, is just not true .................... I've ridden plenty of times when it's 80 (I think even once when it was 78, ... maybe).

Hi all, call me Red if you'd like. South Texas Hill Country. Married with three boys. I started riding on the street when I was 21, stopped for 4 years after I had my lower spine fused. Couldn't stay away, rebuilt a BMW R1200C I found in a shed. After a 400+ mile ride through deep south Texas I went shopping for something a little more my size. I'm 6'3" so I started looking for a Mean Streak, ended up with a Marauder with only 6k on the dial about a month ago. Happy to have found some like minded people.
