Has anyone got a battery laying around that they could measure for me? I might have a supplier but I need the HxWxD and the rating. Thanks

Thanks Colin - Yuasa is the brand I normally use, my guy can get them for a decent price. Does that battery fit in without any trouble?

I had one of those in my hand recently, about the size of a packet of smokes but packing a huge punch, amazing thing. But don't you need a special charger for those batteries?

I just went this route. Fits in the stock location.... With all of the height adapters anyways. And 260cca is more than enough for a stock engine with a few electrial add ons.

Thanks for all your help guys, I managed to get hold of a doofer battery really cheap so that will be enough for me to be able to test and start. It's a motobatt MBTX14AU so reasonable quality. Cheers

Cheers Turned out to be false economy, my "doofer" battery is only useful as a paperweight. Fortunately the seller has told me to just send it back for a full refund so I'm only postage out of pocket, could have been worse. I will now look for a decent battery!
