Raked trees gone Looks awesome both ways! You'll have to give us a handling comparison review. It's rock solid now. Hated to take the raked trees off but just did not work with batwing. Bad bad rear weave that I could not cure without a lot of work. I had to lower the front about 2.5" to get it back to where it should be. I done this by altering inside of forks.

Interesting what is learned along the way. On a side note: The header pic is due to be changed out...I nominate your bike pic to be placed there.

I have a way to lower the front of the meanie. If you want to run a larger front wheel you have to lower it to get the neck rake around 32 deg. Here is how it's done. On the right fork tube, you remove cap, remove jam nut, washer and spacer. Cut spacer. I cut 1" off of mine, then you need to shorten shaft the same amount and thread for cap.. This sets the spring preload. You don't have to cut and rethread shaft if you don't want but it's a bear to line up to install axle but can be done. After axle is in the preload will be fine. Now the left side is the one that sets your ride height. Remove cap, remove bump stop, remove inner nut with tool. Remove shaft with upper spring, remove spacer. Cut spacer same amount as right side, install current spacer onto lower spring. Install rod with upper spring. Install a fender washer that is about same size as spring on top of upper spring. Install the short peice you cut off of spacer onto shaft and washer. Install inner nut, bump stop and cap. Your done. If you did not shorten right side shaft you can get a ratchet strap, put around bottom of tube and around lower triple tree and compress enough to install Axle. That's it. Remember you will get more drop than the amount cut off because when ever you lower one end or the other you put more weight on that end. 1" gave me about 2.25" but I have the bat wing so a little more weight. I also run 7 wt oil. Your oil will not effect drop and mostly effect rebound rate and not bounce very much. You can go another route if your so inclined. Do right side the same but on left do not cut spacer. You only cut and re thread the upper shaft. This will do the same thing with out cutting spacer, also this will reduce your amount of travel and help to nit bottom out. I have hit the front brakes hard very hard that it smelled like a big trucks brakes and have not bottomed out. Not to say I won't. If you go too far (low) you can use for spacer to raise back up like we use with the raked trees. With the 21" wheel and setting low in the rear, rear is about what you would have with 11" shocks, my front is 3" lower.

I'm sorry No biggy, we have a mature group of members here that understand how life works...they don't nitpick or complain about the small stuff and keep checking in even during the super slow times. I would have changed the header pic myself except the last time I did it we ended up with a small pic in the middle of the existing background. LOL

I don't think I've even seen the header pic.... But I agree with the nomination. That bike is looking good, even without the rake.

Was that a brace for the fairing coming off the old mirror post?
Sounds good though.

Ok flywheel changed out. Not too sure I have much difference in throttle responce. Will know more when I ride again. Here is a clip. Quality is bad though.

You'll probably want to get some of those big sports bandages (or duct tape) and attach it from your shoulders down to about your elbows so that your arms don't get ripped off when you hit the throttle. I might be exaggerating a little, but then again, better safe than sorry. Awesome build there Colin. Very nice.

The Build is freaking awesome Speed. When you first outlined where you were going with it I had a lot of doubts. I will doubt you no more. I believe yours is the sweetest Meanie Bagger in terms of visual impact I've ever seen. As far as the "go-fast" part of the equation, I know some cocky Raider FanBoys who would not be happy encountering you in the wild LMAO!
