My first thought is shitty gas that didn't have any or enough stabilizer in it.

Have to agree with Streak as a possibility or her idle is too low for the temp. Is this fuel injected or carburetor.

If it was carbureted I would say it sounds like my Bandit - which needs new float needles & seats. I vote for a tank of fresh fuel too - it's a good place to start and an easy one too. Hope that fixes her problem! Cheers!

Thanks Guys! I passed it along.
But the hilarious sidenote to this story is that on our FB Group (New England Motorcycle Touring), there is a retired Harley Dealership Service Manager. Mr Cory vetted about 20 different things that *COULD* be responsible for it. He railed at HD for producing known sub-quality parts and engineering and said he finally become happy with his rides 20 years ago when he stopped buying Harleys and went to Japanese Bikes LMAO!
Of course he caught flak from the HD Fanboys but he came back with incident after incident tied to real HD Recall #'s and said if you want to try and defend this kind of manufacturing record you go right ahead. Some of their new Twin Cams has had to have upwards of 20% of the engines replaced under warranty and that number is going up.
I knew they had problems but not to this degree. I guess the real American Success Story behind the Story is HD managing to keep this news buried from the buying public?

I've never had a Harley but I do have to say I like the look. A friend of mine who always bought Japanese sports bike went and bought a Harley a few years ago. Prior to that he always called them Hardly Ablesons but after buying one I joked with him that "Harleys are crap until you can afford one"
