Ok guys/gals. I have had jardines forever. I have always had rear brake issues from day one. The issues are hard as hell peddle, very little movement. You have to stand on peddle to get any rear brake. Anyone else have this issue.

I've absolutely no experience with forward controls so this is nothing more than a wild guess - could the issue be something to do with the pivot point of the Jardines arrangement? How does it compare to the stock pedal?

I had problems with both my rear brake and my shifter for the short while I had them on my bike, no amount of adjustment seemed to solve the problem. I ended up pulling them off and putting a set of floor boards from a nomad on the bike.

Shifter side is perfect, now I've had these for 9 years, so you would think I would of figured it out by now lol.

Replaced the master cylinder, a little better. Issue is I believe is as you said the leverage you get on the jardines is a bunch less than stock setup

Mine were used when I got them, I probably would've made some new bushings for them to see if that fixed the problem had I kept them but I just never was comfortable with them so I went the route I did.

I am putting a hd crash bar with lowers on her so I'm not sure if the forwards are going to work with them. We will see. I do not want to return to stock controls. Hope they work out

The mounting points have been an area of concern for me. I agree on the stock controls, never did like the feel of them. The floor boards were a huge improvement for me but I also set my bike up for me, my physical situation is different from others.
