Well it seems that with a bit of determination, some sandpaper, and a knife.. 3 3/4" gauges will fit in the HD 3 3/8" holes. Next up is making a way for the 6 1/2" speakers to mount. Thinking of just making a couple adapter rings if the fairing allows enough room when assembled.

And with them powered up. Option of 10 different colors as well as a fast and slow fade constant change options.

I wanted the tinted lens more so than the color options. It makes them black when off. My plan is to leave the dash panel black when i get the bike painted.
And being a tech junkie of sorts i like the high speed and rpm recall ability. Soon enough i plan to add the oil pressure and coolant temp to the setup too.

Those are the ones I was looking at from glow shift. Tinted 10 color elite series. I'll have to look for those adapters after work. Thanks for the heads up on them.

And got the new air suspension (made to fit by Strutmasters) and mocked up the fender. It needs some trimming and mounts but otherwise looking good i think.

I am loving the look. Wish I had went that way on bags and fender. Much better than mine. BTW found both adapter rings. You will just need screws. I will send Monday. What is the air ride looking like. Are those the shocks you are using?

For now. I still plan to toy with making one over the summer. The air suspension looks like the standard air shock. I had a chat with the guys at Strutmasters and it is completely redesigned and functions like a air spring and shock set.

That is just too cool Sikotic! Keep the pics and progress coming! Will do. Even if only to chronicle my first major bike build. Maybe some day I may even inspire someone to try their hand at it as well.

Finally managed a bit of time to work on the bike again. Damn adult responsibilities keeping me from doing the fun stuff... Now the tail lights are mounted and wired. They function as run/stop/turn with turn signal priority. The speedometer and tachometer took a bit of digging, and many dead ends. But they have power and the tach now works as it should... However, for the life of me I can't seem to find the signal wire for the speedometer. Anyone possibly able to point me in the right direction for that?

So it's now mostly finished... Thanks to a bit of brainstorming with our admin my speedometer is functioning by itself. I decided to get it together enough for a bit of a ride today.... To hell with needing it show ready to enjoy it a bit.

To hell with needing it show ready to enjoy it a bit. So speedo worked like a charm? Tach work as well? The tach never had a problem working. The speedometer needs recalibrated though. I had my brother pace me on the way back from picking the bike up yesterday and from the cruise in the truck at 55 I was reading 60. No big deal. Just need to make some small tweaks. Otherwise it all worked great. The air ride set I found made a major difference in ride quality as well. Never had a problem with it wanting to spring up to full extension under heavy throttle.... Even with about 100psi in them. The stock shocks would fully extend even when we were 2 up if i went full throttle. These actually want to let it squat a little.

Thanks. I've come a long way with it since I first got it last year. Still have a way to go yet too. The next big project is getting the bags made. I could go with some stretched HD bags to get close.... But they aren't wide enough for what I want. So hand laid fiberglass it is.
That won't happen till I get the wiring complete in the front.
